NEWS I'VE BEEN READING THIS MORNING
Pete Nance, best available player in basketball portal, transferring to North Carolina from Northwestern
A 6-10 forward transferring from Northwestern, he was honorable mention All-Big Ten, averaging 14.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game (45.2% from 3).
Nance should be a more than capable substitute for Brady Manek with next season's heels.
Hubert Davis is reloading for another run at the ACC and NCAA titles next season, not conceding a bloody thing to Puke sans K.
ESPN: Pete Nance to UNC
Caleb Swanigan has died at 25
That same ESPN news thread today actually begins with the news of the death of the former Purdue star and NBA player. No cause of death has been released as I write this post. Page up on that page for the story.
Lennie Rosenbluth dies at 89
Also in the same thread (after the Swanigan story, but before the Nance once) is the news that the former tarred heel has died in Chapel Hill at the age of 89. You will recall that Bronx born Lennie came to UNC following former St. John's coach Frank McGuire. Lennie was the leader of the undefeated tarred heels team (yeah, that team).
RIP to both gents, and Peace of Mind and Solace for their loved ones.
