“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

Lucas out. Traylor in. ISU 7-0 run.
That was the swing point in the game. The wheels came off, then our guards started playing horribly (or more horribly than they were to that point in the second half) to try and will us back.
I'm sorry to keep beating this dead horse, but there's literally nothing left to say about this season unless we decide we're going to go for broke and strive to integrate the three guys whose cans are nailed to the pine. What is the worst that can happen? They can screw up like Traylor!

"When you have a ruling class that doesn’t believe in — or even much like — the fundamental values of the nations it rules, things tend to work out poorly.”

We/re getting outcoached. In the 2nd half tonight ISU simply stopped covering our 5 and clogged up the lane. We drove, and drove and drove, and turned it over time after time, and we never made any real effort to move the ball. No passing, just turnovers. Is it fatigue? I am somewhat mystified why a 1st year coach makes all of the right adjustments and Bill Self appears to throw in the towel. But at some point, and soon, we are going to have to get more than 2 points out of our center in 24 minutes.

I couldn't help but think the same thing about their 1st-year coach, Peter. He made great adjustments after we played well in the first half. We adjusted like a deer does to headlights.
As for getting no offense from our 5, it's all about practice. Coach clearly is seeing things there that we don't see, and that explains why he won't try to play our young bigs and why the guy who showed nice potential in Korea and earlier in the season can't get off the bench. Even in mop-up time.
