IMO, if he hears good things (projected late first round, guaranteed money, etc.) he should go.
If not, he should return and work NIL (see the $800K deal Nigel Pack just landed with committing to Miami).

During the NCAA I noticed him in the first round on a couple lists. Until then he seemed to be 35-40ish. The drop off between the first round and second includes the guaranteed money and that ,though trades are shuffling the draft order, pick 28-29 is usually a winning team with stable leadership and picks 33-38 are lottery teams.
Devonte did well via the second round but he was a senior.
To me the real question is whether the upside is there for Christian to jump into say the late lottery with another season. He definitely is tough, smart and coachable. The question is what type of NBA player does he project as after he has another year of development?
