He must enter the draft by April 24, and then he has until June 1 to withdraw if he opts to return for a fifth year and go for 2.
Whatever he decides, I wish my favorite and most frustrating Jayhawk all the best!
EDIT: I have to wonder how much his foot is going to play into his decision? It’s taken a long time to heal since his foot surgery last summer, and his 3 hour a day therapy ritual to get ready to practice or play has to be on his mind, too, yes? - HE
KUSports.com - Tait: Kansas senior David McCormack not leaning either way as he awaits feedback to make stay-or-go decision

It's 1000% a money decision. If he can get a guaranteed deal for 7 figures, he's crazy not to take it. Why risk decreasing your draft value if you have a problematic year if you return? He could increase his value. He could also decrease his value. If the money is on the table, take it.
Now, if the feedback is that he might not get drafted, or won't secure a deal, then by all means come back. Nevertheless, the WORST thing would be for him to declare and then go undrafted.
He's already got his degree(s), and I would personally LOVE for him to come back. I also think he has more upside to show. But if he can lock up a deal right now, do it.

If there's upside that could be realized by getting healthy he could well bump his way into the late 1st round; On the other hand based on what we have seen he is a very good college player who probably won't get drafted this year. There are places to make 6 figures playing hoops and Dave is smart enough to pick up the local language very quickly.

Hey Hoshi! How come when my body matured I got bald and fat!?

NotOstertag wrote: Just got a notice from CBS sports. Dave's going to the draft. Can't blame him at all. Special player and a great all around guy. Best of luck at the next level, big fella.
Actually his entering the draft was understood. His position has been to get the feedback he needs re: his NBA prospects and then decide.
His tweet does read as if he has decided, but this move is right in line with what he was saying as recently as last Friday.
Dave’s tweet:
I hope he learns enough to make the right call for himself.
And though I’d love to see him return, FTR, I voted “go” in the poll.
