Important dates April through June 2022

As of Wednesday the Spring Signing Period (2022-04-13 thru 5-18) officially began.
As of today, until decisions about returning are made by Christian Braun, Jalen Wilson, and possibly even David McCormack, KANSAS has no available scholarships to offer. Of course it is possible that someone else might want to transfer for more playing time. As of now, KANSAS is projected to have 4 scholarships available, and they are spoken for with KANSAS' four recruits who have been signed since the Fall.

Sunday May 1 is the deadline for anyone wanting to enter the Transfer Portal to notify their school so they can be eligible to play in the Fall semester. They don't need to be committed to another program by then, just to let their program know. As I understand it, notifying your school and entering your name are done at the same time.

2022-04-24 SUNDAY 11:59 PM ET: NBA deadline to declare for 2022-06-23 draft (60 days out)
2022-06-01 SATURDAY 11:59 PM ET: NCAA deadline to withdraw from draft and retain eligibility. Date is ten days after the final day of the annual NBA Draft Combine, scheduled for May 16-22, 2022.

And a reminder that this Sunday is the deadline to declare for the NBA draft.

As I write this DAVE has announced he’s going. None of Ochai, JWil or Christian have officially announced they are entering the draft yet, but they are all expected to do so.

Ochai and DAVE are expected to leave, both JWil and Christian are more up in the air.

May 1: After this Sunday the next deadline of interest is the May 1 deadline for transfers to enter the portal if they want to be eligible to play in the fall. As of this post, no one from KU has announced they are entering it.

May 18: the spring signing window closes.

But if JWil and CB return as most posters hope they will, KU will not have any scholarships left to fill unless a Jayhawk enters the portal before the May 1 deadline.

Expect Christian and Ochai to formally announce today, the last day they can enter the draft.

April 24, 11:59 PM: Deadline to submit name into the 2022 NBA draft pool or test the waters
May 1: Deadline to enter the NCAA transfer portal & still be eligible for next season
May 16, 2022 – May 22, 2022: NBA draft combine (in Chicago)
May 17: NBA draft lottery
June 1, 11:59 PM: Deadline for college players who are "testing the waters" to pull out of the NBA draft to retain NCAA eligibility
June 13 (5:00 pm ET): NBA early entrant withdrawal deadline (By this point, we know whether or not a college player decided to keep his name in the draft, but this deadline is for international players, who aren’t subject to the same restrictions as college players).
June 23: NBA draft day
