Well…nevermind I guess and apologies if necesary…but really… Can you give us a day or two to enjoy this, shill? I saw this while making the victory tour reading articles on last night’s joyous occasion and the combination of euphoria, too little sleep, and too much celebration caused this to set wrong.

I hate to even link to this crap

Kansas is awaiting punishment from the NCAA (via the IARP), and sources have told CBS Sports that it's likely that the damage will be severe — and coming soon. A ruling on Kansas happening in the near-future is probable.

This of course dates back to the FBI scandal, as the NCAA has pinned five Level I violations on Self and his program. He's guaranteed a suspension, and its length could be anywhere from low double digits in games to sitting out an entire season. He'll fight it all, and the university will certainly try to sue on his behalf, but because this is the IARP, there is no appeal process.

I get it, KU has been facing this a while, but if Norlander or his confidants think the NCAA lowering the boom is going to be the final comment on this, they’re probably ALL in for a surprise.

Maybe give it a few days at least…it’s not a good look dropping this crap in the hours after the game. You just end up looking like a petty little…

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- the reason why it's taken so long is that the NCAA (1) knows they overstepped, (2) does not have the necessary proof of any wrongdoing, and (3) is worried about collateral damage to itself, other programs (see Duke) and the business of college hoops (the NCAA's cash cow) if KANSAS opts to take the case to court where sufficient proof will be needed.

I am so sick and tired of hearing this or that "guaranteed" to happen when nothing ever comes of it. Lot of haters that are pissed that it looks like KANSAS is going to "get away with" behaving like just about every major program, so they talk it up now to inflict as much damage as possible before the actual results are revealed.

I STILL want to know, if Zion asked for cash and whatever else and we didn't pay, what did Duke give him? why isn't anyone looking into that? That has stuck with me throughout this entire mess.

Exactly. Pretty easy to track any changes in Zion's famly's situation over a well-defined period of time. Did they buy a new house, get a new job, new cars, etc.? If so, how did that happen? Seems like detective 101 stuff.

Two issues keep being mentioned, one a third one keeps getting ignored.

1) Should Adidas be treated as a Booster and therefore KU is responsible for their actions?
- An individual that has nothing to gain other than vicariously through KU's success, yea, I can see him being classified as a booster. But a corporation with financial gain at stake should KU be successful is not a booster.

2) In the Adidas trial the lawyer stated that Self knew all about it.
- I'm not a lawyer, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn. Express (and watch a lot of court drams on TV)...but with his statement in the closing arguments about Self being aware, the Adidas defense lawyer "Introduced facts not in evidence". The prosecutor could have objected, but since KU wasn't his client (the federal govt was) he had no dog in that fight and let it go. Bottom line, there is no evidence. Even the FBI when the broke the case to the media stated that the schools were victims, not perpetrators.

3) I still haven't figured out how UNC got away with zero punishment for the "fake class" scandal. Sure, the "fake classes" were available to all students and not just the athletes, but that's just smoke and mirrors.

Hey USAF, related somewhat to your point 3:

Once a year I go on the KSTate chat board after we beat them to see them whine. Not sure why I do it, but I get a perverse amount of pleasure out of it. All they talk about is the bad refs and how KU cheats. I laugh at their inferiority complex.

I did the same on the Carolina site today. I was embarrassed for them. The refs stole the game, and KU are awful cheaters. They even wondered if they get the natty banner if KU gets stripped of its wins. And they threw in some "thug" comments about Braun and others who tried to hurt their guys. Pathetic - but a small amount of pressure was had by me today!

Lastly, I ordered two matching KU golf shirts today - one for me and one for my Carolina grad brother in law !!

My wife and I have said this for so long. If Zion wanted cash and didn't come to KU but went to Duke then how was Duke not investigated. I agree with others responses. This seems to be taking way too long for them to "bring the hammer down." So my thought is that it's jealous people just hating on KU. Whatever, either way, we are champs and that doesn't change anything. I could give a rats a** less if they strip us of a final four or whatever they might do. On top of that, I bet even if Self was benched for significant games, the team would still win.

Who knows. I'm just basking in the National Championship sun!!!!
