"When I was a freshman, I remember Coach Naismith telling us how important it was to play good defense." - Mitch Lightfoot
Ok, 2 things annoy the crap out of me:
1.) the in-timeout interviews with the coaches. Ok, I actually LIKE to see these, but I think they must be onerous for the coaches. Self has been very agreeable in these, but I can't imagine not thinking that he's been thinking "Ok interview person, here's my stock answer that we need to keep playing defense, but I REALLY want to get back to my team."
2.) the "creativity" with the final four TV camera angles. Let me be clear: during the game, ALL I need is the standard midcourt 20 rows up camera angle. That's it. Run that for 100% of the live action, and leave the "fancy" stuff for replays. But for whatever reason, CBS decides to run the "I passed out drunk on the floor in front of the scorers table" view, the "lying on my belly 100 feet above the court" view, and the "hey, check out this cool cable cam angle" view that just plain suck.
#2 really annoys me. I want to see the game. While adding 20 extra cameras to the "experience" is neato, I don't need to see it while I'm actually watching the game and want to see what's going on. There was one point tonight where they went to the "passed out on the floor" view where KU scored and I literally had no idea what happened.
If you had a choice between a ticket at midcourt in row 25, OR a ticket where you had to lie on your belly in front of the scorers table, which would you choose? I, for one, would actually like to see the actual game.
End of rant. Take heed CBS.

Agreed all those varied camera angles may be great for trying to dissect a replay but during live action I want the view that sees the court.

Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
I told my wife during the game that if congress wanted to do something to benefit America, they should pass a law banning CBS from ever broadcasting college basketball again. Sometime new technology etc is great (ball tracer technology in golf) but sometimes it is not (20 alternate camera angles in basketball). Do they not realize that many of us are tracking something other than the ball. I enjoyed iso-watching DaJuan hound Gillespie yesterday. With some of those camera angles about all you could really see was the ball handler. I'm 100% with you, give me the standard tried and true camera angle the God intended for basketball.
