I vote for Mitch, despite his problems at the charity stripe. To me, his play explained why he stayed so long.

I’d say Wilson. He impacted every aspect of the game. He scored, rebounded, drove aggressively to the rim, drew some crucial fouls against their bigs, and was often handling the ball and looked very controlled and calm (save for one or two times he went way too fast and turned it over). He may have even shot 50% from the line, which was hall of fame level for KU today.
Each time they missed early in the second half I think it was Wilson grabbing a rebound. he was front and center of us taking control of the game.

Good points. Wilson was very steady and dependable. I admit to being prejudiced when it comes to Mitch. He had an amazing blocked shot, a great dunk, and a wonderful assist when he threaded the needle to get #30 the ball for a dunk, not to mention numerous altered shots and rebounds\assisted rebounds. All this on a semi-recovered knee. Just my observations.

The best observation is that everyone had a good game, doing their job and getting it done. I’ll take this type of game where a case can be made for several players, and not one player did it all.
We’re extremely tought to beat when that happens.

I will give a shout out to Mr. Harris. His Defense in the 2nd half on Mr McGusty really frustrated the Miami offense. I am not sure that made him pog but it was big. Really was a team effort.

So who do we put on Gillespie? I vote Harris.

I would agree with that. Maybe start with the standard switching and see how that goes but Mr Harris would get the assignment if it comes to that.

Concur with DH.
He only spots Gillespie 2 inches, so that should not be a major impediment to locking him down.

Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
If you were to use the player rating, then Jalen would obvious choice. Not only was his player rating the highest for the game, but it rates out as Jalen's best player rating of the season the 11th best individual rating on the team for the season. Everyone except for DaJuan and JCL had excellent player ratings. David played fewer minutes but was extremely effective. JCL had a bad player rating and DaJaun had a very poor player rating. But everyone else was excellent at least. A significant factor in Jalen's great player rating was the team did far better with him on the floor. We outscored Miami (FL) by 0.97 points per minute when Jalen was in the game. McCormack was second at 0.89 and Ochai in 3rd at 0.67 Offensively KU was best with McCormack on the floor scoring 2.34 PPM with Wilson 2nd at 2.12 PPM. Defensively Mitch was the man holding Miami to 1.07 PPM with Wilson 2nd at 1.16. The Jayhawk's were actually outscored by Miami with Jalen on the bench.

Expected total rating is purely based on minutes played. The assumption being the guy who plays the most minutes is the most indispensable and thus should have the highest expected rating. But obviously rating points are going to be related to minutes played. The expected rating is a sliding scale and based on minutes played. The Total team expected rating is based on the team getting a rating of 83 which is basically a team playing like a top 4 team in the country. The expected rating is divvied up to every player based on minutes played. The actual team rating is divvied up based on several things, including +/- and total stat contribution.
