I don't know what it is that Hunter Mickelson is doing or not doing, or has done or not done, that has landed him so very obviously in Bill's doghouse, but it must be something that is really sticking in coach's craw when the year to date X-(+/-) per minute delta shows Hunter rated almost twice as much as the next nearest player. When you allow for the data including 19 games, that's a pretty significant sample size and result to draw upon.

From what I have read it seems that the First Four wanted Lucas at the 5 to start the Texas game.

But the really big question -- to which it is clear we-who-were-not-present-as-flies-on-the-wall have no idea as to the answer -- is was Lucas their top choice overall, or was he their top choice after eliminating Hunter because of HM's apparent doghouse status?

Whatever it is, it is clear that we don't get it. If he is being benched as a disciplinary action, why not say so? At least that way the fans understand. Self was up front with us regarding Greene's disciplinary benching, so rightfully or wrongfully I have to conclude that this is not a disciplinary issue for Hunter. We won't know without someone talking.
