"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
Raiders still undefeated at home (16-0) this season.
Baylor and Tech tied for second (9-4), two games behind KU (10-2) in the loss column.
A KU win in Morgantown this Saturday would be HUGE!

"When I was a freshman, I remember Coach Naismith telling us how important it was to play good defense." - Mitch Lightfoot
Simply put, it's ours to lose.
We need to go 4-2 to guarantee at least a tie of the championship.
Both Baylor and Tech need to go 5-0.
The "magic number" is 4.
The game at Baylor will be interesting to say the least. If we can win at WV and beat KSU in Allen, we can eliminate Baylor early if we can win there.

CORRECTED POST
(Thanks, Socalhawk!)
Quite so, NotO!
The current leaderboard top 4 are -
10-2 KANSAS, up 1 in the W column and 2 in the L column.
9-4 Baylor
9-4 Texas Tech
8-5 tu
While 5th place K State (6-7) and 6th place TCU (5-6) are not mathematically eliminated, it would take a miracle of biblical proportions for either of them to end the season with even a share of the title.
KANSAS has 6 games left due to the COVID-19 rescheduled conference season opener at TCU.
Baylor, Tech and tu each have 5 games left.
Here's the remaining B12 schedules for them....
KANSAS
BAYLOR
TEXAS TECH
tu
Texas, with remaining games at home against Tech and Baylor and closing the season at KANSAS, arguably has the toughest remaining schedule of the three even before including still having to play at WVU. Their only projected "gimme" game is hosting TCU. Ideally for KANSAS, they will beat Tech and beat Baylor and lose to everybody else, but especially KANSAS in KU's 2022 Senior Game!
Texas Tech arguably has the easiest remaining schedule, with Saturday's game in Austin as the only game that stacks up as a tough one for the Red Raiders. So let's hope tu manages the W there, because otherwise don't slip up KANSAS or Baylor! As Tech has finished its games against KANSAS and Baylor, it must rely on other teams taking down those two if the Raiders are to have a chance to win the title.
If not for Tech, Baylor -- whose only real threats (probability speaking) are KANSAS at home and Texas in Austin -- would have the easiest remaining schedule, even if you think OK State beats them in Stillwater. (We can always hope, eh?)
KANSAS has 3 games that should be "gimme games" from the perspective of "KANSAS *SHOULD* WIN (TCU x2 and KState).
The other 3 --
@ WVU (even this down year for them Morgantown is still a tough venue)
@ Baylor
hosting Texas in the KANSAS SENIOR GAME --
are all going to be tough to win games, but not impossible.
Can KANSAS finish 6-0 in the Big 12 to effectively run away with the title?
Unlikely, but not impossible.
As you noted, NotO, the "magic number" is 4.
KANSAS winning 4 games guarantees at least a tie for the title with Baylor and/or Tech, and tu out of the running.
The games continue this Saturday in Morgantown, Waco and Austin.
JUST WIN!
LET'S GO JAYHAWKS!

Socal, I got no excuse.
I had the standings right in my origin post, but that was yesterday.
Clearly today is Brain Cramp Day (for me at least -- maybe it's all the snow? Nah! )
Thanks for reporting my mistake.
You are correct, it's Tech tied with Baylor, not tu.
I don't know what mental breakdown led to me flipping tu and Tech.
Rather than do a second post -- and continue to confuse any new readers with the old one still "as is" -- I'm going to go back and fix my mistake (one of the few benefits of moderator status).
Thanks again!

Appreciate the assist TTU provided and thank them for QB #15, but Tech fans are getting full of themselves. “best HC advantage”…blah, blah. Win a NCAAT before shooting off at the mouth.. sick of these newbie programs thinking they are the greatest thing since sliced bread…
