The simple answer, not likely. But also not impossible. If he maintains a 20 point scoring average the rest of the way and KU plays max number of games (21 more games) he would score 420 points. He currently has 1328 and is in 29th place all-time. Currently in 10th is a guy named Paul Pierce. Paul scored 1768 points as a Jayhawk. So under this scenario Ochai would score 1328+420=1738. 1738 would only put him in 13th place. He would have to score 31 more points in those 21 games or about 21.5 points per game. Certainly doable. It would be nice to see him make that distinguished list. He will likely move to 28th in the next game. He needs 13 to tie Mario Chalmers at 1341. Pretty much every game or every other game from here on out he will move up a spot or two. We should start an Ochai tracker for all-time points.

He is already in 7th in 3-point FGM. He has a decent chance of displacing Billy Thomas in 3rd at 269. Devonte' Graham in 2nd is a longshot at 296 and Jeff Boschee at 338 is a near impossibility.

Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!

With many players leaving early for the pros, will we ever see some of these records broken? The only ones that might, would be players with physical skills not matched to the pro game. Frank Mason comes to mind. Of course, there is also the player that wants a degree, but these days, one can make up classes by going on-line.
