Texas tech reminds me of the Oklahoma teams under Kelvin Sampson. Play "Raiders basketball," foul on every play because you know they can't call a foul on every play. They push, grab, slap all the time on defense. On offense they play serious bully ball. I though Mr. Lightfoot's second foul was a terrible call. The offensive player not only bodied into him, which is usually a no call, but then extended the elbow to create space.

Another question I have on that game is Remy Martin. I thought he really made a difference on our offense. I was surprised we did not see more of him in the overtimes. I am looking forward to Corpus' player evaluations for that game.

Yep, me too. It seems that when KJ and Remy were in there, there was definitely a spark that lifted the other players.

And then Remy vanished....I'm looking forward to the Corpus report as well.

Y'all are not alone. A whole bunch of folks are asking "What about Remy?"

In the post game presser Self was asked about Remy and he had some good things to say about his play. However, when asked why Remy did not see the floor from 5:04 to go in regulation and through both OTs Self replied (quoting here) "I don't want to be negative, but who would he go in for? So, so, I mean, ha, ha, so, I mean we... we... we need to rebound the ball, so I didn't think it was time we should play two little guards."

Dajuan was obviously tired at the end of regulation and OT (31 minutes against a tough defense will do that to a guy), no offensive threat to Tech and getting bullied by them on D because he was so tired.

Nope, doesn't trust Remy, trusts Dajuan.

Discussion on Remy starts at the 5:30 mark. Youtube.com
