Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
Hairy, you wanted to see the player rating's for Game 17 and here you go with the +/- also since they are closely tied together.
Jalen and Mitch stood out in this game. Both had excellent games, Jalen with many more minutes. Jalen led the team with 34.9 minutes while Mitch played only 13.3 minutes. But Mitch's 13.3 minutes were extremely productive. Ochai was scoreless for the 1st 34+ minutes of the game but still contributed a lot to the team. Plus he scored 10 points down the stretch. While he did not blow the doors off he had a very good overall game. Meeting the expected rating by definition is a very good game. He and Christian both were right on the expected rating and thus had very good games. Remy played only 15.2 minutes but they were very effective, especially defensively. His defensive +/- was 1.38 points per minute which was second to Mitch and well below the 1.60 points per minute for the team. The Jayhawks outscored the Sooners by 6 points in the 15.2 minutes Remy was on the floor. Agbaji had easily the best +/- on the team. So theoretically, even though he wasn't scoring for much of the game, he was making the Jayhawks better by being ion the game. DaJuan started the game like a house afire offensively going 3-4 and scoring 7 of the Jayhawks 1st 9 points but cooled off and missed his last 6 shots. But one of the big contributors to his low rating is the -2 in the +/-. Of the 7 players with significant minutes, DaJuan had the lowest defensive +/- at 1.73 points per minute. One of the things that may surprise some, for the 17 games thus far, David McCormack leads the team in defensive +/-. When David is fully engaged he is critical to the Jayhawks defense since allowing paint points has been our Achilles heel.

Thank you! I was not wrong in thinking Mr. Agbaji helped the team even when not scoring. I thought Mr. Lightfoot played well in his times and it may have been even better than I thought. The one I was most surprised with was Mr Martin's numbers. I really think he will be a big factor this year.
