According to a commenter below the article there was a tweet that started a rumor of a rift with Remy. Self attempted to shoot it down in his own unique way.
It's interesting how social media can create such a firestorm.

Speaking of HCBS, my daughter paid a pretty penny for a Cameo video birthday greeting from him for my 81st birthday back in Sep. Some highlights from it: said I'm same age as his dad; said about being one of the 41K fans at 2008 NC in SA (now are 100K who say were there); said about visiting briefly on Aug 11, 2012 in Paris, before the KU-French All-Stars game. Of course my daughter provided him with the details, but was a special birthday present.
