I was reading a JayhawkSlant thread on KJ and found this writeup that I thought would interest you.

I think similar versatility to Richard Scott, but with some minor differences. Scott had a AMAZING feel around the basket. No one got more out of a pump fake than he did, and his ability to get position and find himself around the basket was on par with many skilled guys bigger than him. Amazing ability to create space between him and a defender and get a high % shot off. Also great at getting shot off quickly (rarely had to collect himself). He was like a rougher more aggressive Perry in that regard.

I like KJ’s feel around the basket, but I think it maybe projects to a 7 when Scott was maybe as high as a 9 at his peak.

However, I think KJ is going to be a stronger and more difficult to move presence. Scott was a sharp elbows savvy guy, but guys with bulk could move him a little. I also think Adams is a more dynamic athlete, but maybe not the wingspan Scott had.

Scott was VERY versatile on D. I watched him guard a range of guys from Calbert Cheney to Big Country. I don’t know if Adams will be that versatile, but it feels like he can keep up with perimeter players better than I thought he would be.
