Kentucky lost to LSU tonight. They are now projected to win 21.3 games through conference play (31 games). KU is projected to win 25.4 games. These numbers are updated with tonight's games. There is now a better than 50% probability that KU will catch Kentucky before the conference tournaments begin. Pretty exciting. Obviously our head-to-head figures in pretty big in this picture.

Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!

We probably don't have enough time on the calendar to get 'er done (and our schedule is tougher than theirs), but wouldn't it be a delicious scenario if we gained 3 games on them before they came to AFH? We would be tied going into that game. Imagine if we then took care of business and surpassed them at home in a full, rocking fieldhouse.

If that were to happen, the folks at Guinness Book of World Records might wanna turn out again with their decibel meters. :-)

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
