Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
1. Kansas 4th in DPPI and 3rd in Massey composite of all computer rankings.
2. Baylor No. 1 in DPPI and in Massey Composite
3. KU's projected W/L now up to 26.3-4.7
4. Kansas now ranked 1st in Offensive efficiency and 14th in defensive efficiency
5. KU SOS now ranked 25th in the nation
6. Alabama loses badly to a very inconsistent Memphis team last night, Alabama falls to 12th.
7. Michigan St. got no love preseason but are now up to 11th.
8. Kentucky still ranked 21st in AP Poll but ranked 34th in DPPI and 40th in Massey Composite.
9. Only team more overrated than Kentucky is St. Bonaventure. They are ranked 36th in AP Poll and 65th in the DPPI
10. Kansas back on top (barely) in Big 12 projection. Kansas projected to win 14.1 games to Baylors 14.0. KU with 40% probability to win outright to Baylors 38% and 57% probability to win win a tie to Baylor's 55%. More or less a dead heat.
11. Big 12 extends it's lead as top rated conference.
12. 7 teams remain undefeated. Who will be the last remaining undefeated team. 26 teams have 1 loss or less.
13. Arizona is highest scoring team in the nation at 90.7 PPG, followed by Purdue at 87.4 and Kansas at 86.4
14. Ochai Agbaji leads the nation in scoring.
15. Missouri now ranked 244th in DPPI. 2nd lowest ever for a Power 6 conference team (since 1989 at least)
16. Biggest upset of the season was SE Missouri St. over Missouri St. by 5 with projected margin of -24.
17. Biggest upset among top 25 teams was Rutgers over Purdue by 2 with Purdue favored by 13 (19th biggest upset overall)
18. Dayton's upset of Kansas was 2nd biggest among top 25 teams and 21st overall. Kansas was favored by 12.
19. Home court advantage up to 2.3 (or 4.6 depending on how you define it)
20. ACC still the lowest rated conference. Just for kicks I programmed the DPPI to run a round robin between the Big 12 and the ACC. The result was the Big 12 won 102 games and the ACC won 48. That is dominance.

Big g, I ran Kentucky’s schedule a few days ago and if I recall correctly, they were projected to go 18-13. There is a very decent chance that our game against them could be the game that puts us in the lead. We have really nice odds of finishing this season as the winningest program in the country.

Ditto to Big G's sentiments. Really is good stuff, Corpus. And appreciating the rate/pace of the the updates as well.
I forget if you're retired...and I only bring it up b/c if you're not, I don't know how you find the time. And if you are, of course it's still very impressive b/c I can only begin to imagine how much work goes into retrieving the data, running the numbers, making the graphs & charts, and then typing out the posts/messages themselves. Just typing that sentence made me a little tired
Bottom line, thank you for all of your continued hard work in keeping us KU fans in the know - with some serious in-depth quantitative analysis...while adding your own thoughtful opinions as well!
