I sure enjoyed it, but Mizzou was so bad that it wasn’t even a great game to watch. I don’t follow them at all, but wow, have they dropped from relevance.

Did anyone hear the announcers say TWICE at the beginning of the game that both MU and KU were opening their Big12 play? Seems like MU is so irrelevant in the SEC that no one remembers they left 9 years ago.

Not much to say. MU is pretty bad, and when a subpar team comes into AFH, AND the fans are on fire it won't end well for them. I don't imagine our fans will be as energetic when Stephen F Austin comes to town, so the SFA guys will have less to contend with.

Also, Braun came out angry. That was fun. Bottom line, Mizzou is irrelevant and we gave them some free air time. I thought it was interesting to hear the announcers talking about how empty Mizzou stadium is for games and that "alumni pay attention to games like this." I guess they were implying that now the Mizzou alumni will suddenly wake up, realize that they have a crappy basketball program and then "do something" about it? Who knows. I really don't care. It will be interesting to see if they pack the house next year when we go there. I suppose it's too much to hope that we'll have more KU fans in the building than Mizzou fans.

I will say one of the MOST enjoyable things I watched yesterday was the outright "junkyard dog" mode that McCormack found. He definitely played with an attitude that it was HIS ball, HIS rim and anybody who thought otherwise was going to be needing some advil after the game. Good to see.

That crowd was intense! I was hyped listening on TV, I can’t imagine how it jazzed up the team and demoralized Those maroons from Columbia!

Just reading the Columbia newspaper's account of the game. Not much to note other than they seem to imply that KU doesn't sell out the rest of its games and that Mizzou boosted attendance. Ok, maybe we sell out every game and there are a handful of empty seats, but "selling out every game" and not being able to easily see empty seats seems pretty good, and I'm sure that few fans showed up late or left early yesterday.

But they seem to imply that KU has somewhat average attendance and that Mizzou helped us out. Typical moronic Missouri coverage. I guess playing in an empty barn that was originally named after a kid who got kicked out of school for cheating messes with your perspective a little.

Consider the source.
