Last night Texas and Purdue lost. Texas lost by 4 to 19th ranked Seton Hall.
-- Texas fell to 14th as a result. Not a terrible loss.
-- Purdue fell to Rutgers on a last second hail Mary shot. It dropped Purdue to 5th place.
-- Kansas remains in 7th place
-- Iowa St. annihilated Iowa by 20 points. That moved Iowa St. up to 29th and Iowa dropped to 34th.
-- Even with the Texas loss the Iowa St. win more than compensates. The Big 12 moved even farther ahead. They are now 0.380 points ahead of the Big Ten in 2nd place.
-- Arizona retains the top spot rather dominantly. LSU is dominantly in 2nd and Houston is in 3rd followed by Baylor in 4th. Those 4 teams are a level above the rest at this point. Of those, LSU has played a SOS ranked 70th. The other three have played considerably weaker schedules.
-- KU's SOS is ranked 40th (a little surprising, but Michigan St. has ascended to 15th and Dayton has risen all the up to 93rd.
-- KU's line over Mizzou has increased to 27.1 points with a 98.2% probability of winning.
-- KU still projected to win 13.1 games in the Big 12 behind Baylor's 13.6. Texas is still projected 3rd but fell to a projected win total of 10.9 followed by surprising Iowa St. at 10.0.
-- With Purdue's loss, there are now 7 undefeated teams including Iowa St. and Baylor. The lowest rated undefeated team is 37th ranked San Francisco at 10-0. They have played the 139th rated SOS. Not too bad.
-- Nothing much to pay attention to tonight but obviously tomorrow has some big games including Kansas hosting Mizzou.
Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
