Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
1. The Big 12 won 2 of 3 games last night. K-State is now the lowest rated Big 12 team but in an impressive 78th place. TCU moved up to 66th with big win against Utah. Big 12 extends its lead over rest of Div 1to an impressive 0.3 points (for frame of reference that is pretty huge). Big 12 at 0.7106, Big 10 at 0.6795.
2. Arizona destroys Wyoming by 31 points. Extends its margin in the DPPI. Now sits dominantly atop the DPPI over Purdue by 1.3 points. For a frame of reference, 1.3 points is the difference between 25th place Kentucky and 37th place Michigan.
3. Kansas remains in 7th, 2 slots behind Baylor.
4. KU projected to go 25-6 through conference play
5. KU favored over Mizzou by 26 points
6. Mizzou ranked 218th, worst of all 76 Power 6 teams.
7. Kansas State last in Big 12 but 50th out of 76 Power conference teams. Every other Power 6 conference has at least 4 teams rated below Kansas St.
8. 5 undefeated teams lose. Now only 7 undefeated teams Including Baylor and Iowa St.
9. UNC making strong move, back up to 27th in DPPI.
10. Michigan St now up to 15th in DPPI after defeating previously undefeated Minnesota last night.
11. In the "what were they thinking category" here are some early highly ranked teams
-- Michigan 6th in preseason, currently 37th (pretty bad)
-- Kentucky 10th in preseason, currently 25th (not too bad)
-- Illinois 11th preseason, currently 30th (not terrible)
-- Memphis 12th preseason currently 43rd (pretty bad)
-- UCLA 2nd preseason currently 18th (but still pretty high in the AP)
-- Oregon 13th preseason currently 101st (what were they thinking)
-- Florida St. 20th in preseason currently 68th (pretty bad)
-- Maryland 21st in preseason currently 100th
-- St. Bonaventure 23rd in preseason currently 61st
-- Virginia 25th in preseason currently 76th
