UTEP averages 7.3 on 23 attempts per game

KU averages allowing 7.1 on 21 attempts

How many will UTEP hit tonight?

I'm going with the averages here:

UTEP will take 22 attempts and make 7.2 of them. Don't ask me what 0.2 of a 3 pointer is (the math says it's 0.6 points, but I digress...), but it'll happen.

Insider information:

I took down the mighty Jayhawk flag that flies over my house during the bball season to put up Old Glory at half-staff as to day is a day that will live in infamy

BTW: my sainted mother was there. I call her every December 7th. NEVER FORGET!!!

My point here is that it could have "karmic" influence on the game tonight so beware

UTEP took their average 23 3pt attempts.

They only hit 3, despite many wide open opportunities from the arc.

KU got lucky in that regard.

KU needs to do better on 3pt defense, or teams like Villanova will beat them.

Not that Nova is an excellent 3pt shooting team.
They only hit 26% of their 3s against Syracuse last night.
But they TOOK 50 ATTEMPTS (out of 77 total shot attempts) that led to 39 points.
They also had 57 rebounds to just 36 for Syracuse.

As a result they won by 14 points.

Keep at it Jayhawks! Loved the first half, keep working to make H2 just as good.
