The Big 12 just started a 9 day period of big inter-conference games that could really put a lot of daylight between the Big 12 and the Big Ten and SEC for top conference. Already the Big 12 has created some separation at the top. Two weeks ago, the Big 12, SEC and Big Ten were within hundreths of points with each other. The Big 12 has had a nice run the last couple weeks creating a definitive lead over the SEC and the Big Ten. But starting Friday, there is a big 10 day period including some very significant games, a number of which the Big 12 teams will be underdogs. Here are the Games listed in order of upset potential for the Big 12 in this 10 day period. There are 22 games. The Big 12 is projected to win 14.7. Any number of victories 15 or greater would be good. But if the Big 12 could win 18 or more of these 22 games it would really boost us up as a definitive top conference. With the games in the last 2 days the Big 12 has won 5 games against only 4.5 projected wins. So we have already gained 1/2 of a game. (Iowa St. over Creighton was most of that)

OKC could not handle Xavier but KSU did beat WSU. OKC shot less than 30% from 3 witch doomed them because Xavier primarily played zone and they could not get into the zone and settled for threes.

We are a little over halfway through the 22 game Big 12 slate of big games. The Big 12 is 10-3 in the 13 games played thus far. The good news is, the Big 12 was projected to go 8.5-4.5. So we have gained 1.5 games. The Big 12 is getting pretty significant separation as the top conference. There are two more big games tomorrow.
