We’re all college sports fans, so I wanted to share a wonderful experience I had yesterday attending the Cincy/Houston conference football championship game. It was a home game for Univ of Cincinnati, and they won.
Great game, amazingly loud and energetic fans. When Cincy won, the crowd “entered” the field (no bum rushing) and met the players. Many shook the hands of the Houston players, and I was struck by how behaved and orderly they all were. Pure joy and celebration.
A few policemen surrounded each goal post, but there was not a single attempt to tear them down. Instead, long lines of students walked by the police and SHOOK THEIR HANDS.
Leaving the stadium was the same experience. Very happy fans all celebrating with almost no “extracurricular” activities to bring down the good vibes.
Just a joy to be a part of.
Rock Chalk.
