Ordinarily a PPP of 1.219 is really good but against TSU I’m not so sure. It is okay though. But defense was no bueno.

Bobby Pettiford continues to impress. KJ Adams looked good too other than the thing where he turned his back on the guy with the ball who proceeded to drain a 3. Yesufu did that also. Harris is not having a good game. Sort of an uninspired half off basketball overall with some nice highlights.

I thought they were surprised by how scrappy T State was.

KU - 88 points on 69 possessions for 1.275 (very good offensive game)
TSU - 61 points on 69 possessions for 0.899 (so so defensive game)

There were several plays where the Hawks got confused on Defense and left the other team open under the bucket. The Hawks will need to get better coordination on defense which I think they will. My other concern is I thought they got beat off the dribble and were confident they could block the shot from behind at the rim. They will play against a lot of teams that they will not be able to do that to.

For me it was nice to see us play towards what we all hope will be their best, to win handily when expected and not play to the competition as may have been done in the past.

I'm really excited for this team and I'm hopeful for a great season (as always)!
