"When I was a freshman, I remember Coach Naismith telling us how important it was to play good defense." - Mitch Lightfoot
Looks like Keif got a little cheap shot in first to instigate it, but got a huge and even shadier cheap shot in return. Hope he's ok.

"Late in the fourth quarter, Jokic appeared to foul another Heat player without a call. As he dribbled upcourt and passed the ball, Morris bumped him in the chest.
The Nuggets center retaliated as Morris’s back was to him, putting all of his 6-foot-11, 284-pound frame into a forearm thrust that knocked Morris to the floor. Jokic was ejected and so was Morris, who was assessed a flagrant foul 2."
A chest bump may be a foul, even an intentional one, but hardly a "cheap shot".

Looking at the video tape, it was a cheap shot. Keif blindsided him in the open court, not going for the ball at all. It wasn't brutal, but it had no place to happen, and if the refs would have seen it, it would have been a flagrant foul. Cheap shot pure and simple in my book.
That doesn't mean I'm defending Jokic, but I'm also not as upset at him as others might be.
Interesting DEFENSE of Jokic can bee seen in this clip from Inside the NBA where Shaq, Barkley and Kenny Smith all agree that if you're Keif and you pull what he pulled, you'd better expect retaliation and turning your back is your own fault. Basically they feel that a guy like Jokic should be expected to retaliate for that kind of thing, and if Keif didn't keep his eyes open expecting a response, it's his fault. Here's the clip:
Again, I'm not defending Jokic here, but Markeif lit the fuse on this one.

If I read the story correctly, Kief was given a flagrant 2.
Also according to the one article at least, Kief did the bump after The MVP had abused a Kief teammate and was NOT called for it.
Hockey is not the only sport with “enforcers”.
And FTR, I am not a Morrii fan. IMO they are more trouble than they are worth, always have been. And I do not endorse what Kief did. But if the refs had tagged The MVP instead of letting his first infraction slide, the subsequent two more dire infractions probably don’t happen.
I say probably because we *are* talking about the Morrii here.
But bottom line is there were 3 parties — well, 5 since there were 3 refs — that blew it as far as this incident is concerned.
