We did not start great but the Hawks did show what the could do. I thought Nick Bahe pointed out K.J. Adams did some nice things on the court.

Just looking at the new guys, and remembering this is an exhibition game against DII Emporia State…
Adams did indeed make a good impression. Solid play on both ends, both athletically and BB IQ wise.
Remy Martin lived up to his scoring reputation, and should be huge for KU this season. Self noted postgame Remy is cat quick, and Self wishes Remy would use that quickness more on the defensive side.
Cam Martin, our super senior DII transfer, did not show much scoring wise, but played well defensively. Like to see him scoring, especially as a big from 3 (he hit 47%
Pettiford —all freshmen should be as settled in their first game as he was. Going to be a great one IMO.
Joseph Yesefu - wasn’t the guy we saw at the NCAAs last season, but I think is going to be a huge asset. Had a bit of a rough start, but looked more into it as the game progressed.
Clemence looked nice but does indeed need to bulk up. Won’t see it this year, but expect for the future. Will be an asset, but will also be a freshman.
I would not be surprised if Kyle Cuffe redshirts. Barring injuries, there’s just too many folks in front of him for him to get much PT.
Old crew -
David and Ochai looked ready.
Dajuan looked steady as starting PG. Not close to Remy on scoring, but definitely the better defender.
Mitch was Mr Super Sub and I hope he goes out with a bang!
Braun still leaves me shaking my head at times.
Enjoyed seeing Chris T get some minutes, but don’t expect he’ll see much court time this season.

“The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits”. Albert Einstein
Adams I agree but not a shooter
Remy Martin Will be fun to watch
Cam Martin, I agree HE and I was impressed with his defense and really long arms.
Pettiford — agree, going to be a great one
Joseph Yesefu - He was the biggest surprise to me. For his size he has some serious ups
Clemence - He is going to be a good player. May be a RS candidate.
Kyle Cuffe - NOT a shooter and and will not play this year. Is he worth. redshirt>
David and Ochai looked ready. Agree
Dajuan l- best defender amongst the guards.
Mitch was Mr Super Sub - Prison Mitch came to play.
Braun still leaves me shaking my head at times. Seems to have grown an inch. Good rebounder
