Leaves an opening for either TyTy Washington -- whom I have read the staff is in fact still pursuing -- or Creighton transfer Christian Bishop.
And the hits just keep on coming...

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
Is it just me, or is this the busiest post-tourney off-season (news-wise and roster-wise) for KU in memory?

IIRC it is easily the busiest since the 2008 title team had so many people leave (five scholarship seniors and three underclassmen (Brandon Rush, Mario Chalmers, and Darrell Arthur) who opted to enter the NBA draft.
As of today this team has 7 new rides (6 already filled) for next year compared to the 8 after the 2008 squad.
I do believe that this year sets a record for people leaving the program by transfer with 4 transferring after the season (Tyon Grant-Foster, Tristan Enaruna, Gethro Muscadin and Latrell Jossell).
You can credit the transfer portal and the COVID-19 rules for this year which --
1. allows players to transfer this year without sitting out a year with their new school
2. gives all players this year an extra year of eligibility for their collegiate careers and
3. allows their schools to NOT count the scholarships of Seniors who opt to return to their program for their extra year against the annual scholarship limits of that program. NOTE WELL: this last benefit only applies to the Seniors' extant school. If they choose to transfer, their scholarships have to be counted by their new school. But if they stay with their current schools, it allows their current schools to carry an oversized roster (>13) for the next season.
