as I beg your forgiveness. It is the ultimate goal for every team in our conference to beat us. Coaches have received bonuses, I hear, for beating us. Teams who've beaten us have stormed the court; it is that important to them.
So, I just cannot root for an enemy. (A very old exception: OK St. because I admired Sutton so much.)
I will be rooting for Gonzaga to be champions because I considered the team and their coach to be class acts.
I'll let myself out.

“The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits”. Albert Einstein
No problem with that from me. They are clearly the best team.

Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
Murph, you root for whoever you want to root for. There is way too much “my way or you’re dead to me’” in the world. I am rooting for Baylor but I that is just me. It is not right or wrong or better or worse. Sports should be fun. I am 100% times 100 behind you rooting for whichever team you want to root for. And furthermore, if Gonzaga wins and that makes you happy, I will find joy that you are happy.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
Murph, I can’t speak for everyone, but I think most here would be perfectly fine with a class act like Mark Few finally bringing an NC home to Spokane.
ASSUMING the NC game is Baylor v Gonzaga. I really want that.
Zags swat the Bruins, Bears maul the Cougars.
Even though I am not a fan, I really do think it would be good for the Big 12 nationally to finally have someone in addition to Kansas win a men’s hoops title, so I do want >gulp< Baylor to win it all. And if they can do it against what is clearly the best team this year, even better.
But if the Zags accomplish the perfect season, I shall celebrate that wholeheartedly.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
Ditto what Corpus and HE said.
Though I would’ve made an exception for Misery if they had ever managed to overcome futility and get to an NC game, I generally want the Big 12 to do well. (It helps the league, and will mean another program is there to push KU)
I also have a lot of respect for Few, and feel like he is due. “Few is due,” I’m a poet and didn’t know it.
I’m good with either of those and hope they get to play, as this year’s Ali-Frazier.
Houston in an upset, I’m not enamored but it wouldn’t upset me. As for UCLA, ugh, let’s not go there, and cross our fingers... lol

No problem. I, on the other hand, will be happy with anyone but Baylor. When I don’t have a dog in the fight I usually root for coaches I like. KS has been one of my favorites for a long, long while. Would love to see him get to the final. Drew is my least favorite of those left. Cannot forget his antics at Allen Field House which include not bringing his team out until video over and coughing and gesticulating during our free throws.
