“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.

First of all I want to note that I think Rivals Pettiford data (3* 6-0/175) is outdated.

Both 247Sports and ESPN rate him as a solid 4*, 6-1/175.
But MaxPreps* has him at 6-1/190... and when you see his picture below you'll probably want to go to the 190 like I do.

Rivals still has its final Spring update due out in the near future, so we may see some updates then.

An analysis of Pettiford from a JayhawkSlant poster:
"Not afraid to attack the basket downhill, very fast first step and drive and looks strong. Not afraid to shoot the 3 and spot up jump shot looks really solid. He is the guy his high school team used to make the crucial or last second shot."

And Pettiford may have coattails bringing others to KANSAS, specifically TyTy Washington, Jr and Jonas Aidoo (links to their Rivals profiles).
Full Text of Tweet...
According to @ebosshoops Kansas's newest commit Bobby Pettiford Jr. has been close friends with TyTy Washington since the 7th/8th grade.. TyTy was one of the first people Pettiford told & is actively recruiting TyTy to Kansas. KU defintetely (sic) still in the mix for TyTy.. #kubball

AND

Here's what it looks like if you go to Twitter

THAT young man is built like a bull! If he is a legit 6-1 there is no way he only weighs 175!

Pettiford tweeted this evening...
