It is possible that this team is simply not as great as we hope and want them to be? This and the last two games surely haven't demonstrated nor showcased how a elite team plays.

I should know better than to post while angry, but ...

This is terrible. They've forgotten everything. No offense, no defense, no shooting, and no coaching.

Mongo just pawn in game of life.

Perhaps the real fools gold was the games in Korea?

Was the OU game a zenith for this team?

Sure hope I am wrong, but the evidence of every game since OU points toward this team not being up to what we have become used to as a Jayhawk MBB team.

20 points with 1:00 to go.

Embarrassing does not begin to cover it.

I watched all the games in Korea. That team refused to lose. There was fight, grit and a willingness to do whatever it took. This team gets down by more than 7-8 points and starts looking for the bus back to the airport. When do they force their will on a team and quit waiting for the other team to make enough mistakes to walk away with a win? When do they get a ten point lead and ask each other in the huddle why they aren't up by 20? No fire, no leadership and possibly no #1 seed we thought was sown up after OU.

or at least explanations. HCBS had a persistent sniffle in a recent press conference. If a bug is running through the team, better in January than March. That would account for the listlessness of pretty much everybody wearing blue last night.

Or Frank and Wayne or both hobbled far more than we know? I don't like letting kids appear not to have tried and get called out for it when they can barely bend arms and legs to get their uniform on. I understand the tactical edge of making the other team prep as though everybody is almost 100%, but after last night the cat seems to be out of the bag. This might be fixable, but dings to the knee and ankle can take a while.

Some chemistry, attitude problem, HCBS gets to big bucks to mitigate these.

Hoops fatigue, the Korea trip set us up for a nice December , but now not so much, or

This team has done about all it can considering certain physical limitations. When we shoot poorly from the three point line we get creamed by almost any group of D-I players. The extra practice last summer could only help so much. In this case we are screwed, March will hurt and then like it or not there will be more bad football.
