And the guy who is most lost is Self. When he goes to Stillwater, is his mind reverting to his 18 year old mind? I've never been more disgusted with Self as right now.

And I really have come to believe that the team becomes collateral damage as a result. Self is insecure and the vibes feed into the players' psyches.
Unfreakin'believable.

I want to know, Where the hell was Hunter?
Perry is not the answer and I have watched this for the last three years. For whatever reason Coach wants to give him and Landon every opportunity yet we have had others that could have made a difference . Something is terribly terribly off in Jayhawkland

I sat down tonight thinking "Okay, here's one we definitely will get." I mean, we were the seasoned squad facing a totally inexperienced OSU team, which was playing without its best shooter (Forte).
And yet we totally ****** the bed. Wow. Just wow.

It certainly seems that way, Peter. I'm left just shaking my head. I mean, we were very much in that game heading into the half. Was it disappointing that we were down? Sure, but we were within two possessions of it having gone our way. But that second half... What in the WORLD happened inside the locker room?
More broadly, where are the collective heads of this team right now? And what is going on inside of them? Going back to Frank's lackluster showing in West Virginia, in front of a massive family entourage that drove hours through bad weather to see him play, it makes you wonder if something isn't going on behind the scenes among the guys.
Truly bizarre. And I'll confess that, when I saw the tide turn in a big way in the second half, I just fast-forwarded through, stopping on occasion at certain frames to see if we'd made a run. Instead, I just kept seeing the spread increase in OSU's favor. I couldn't bear to watch it. I saw a micro-frame of the court-stomping, turned off the tube, tossed the remote on the couch in disgust, and walked away.
What a cratering. I sure wish we knew what was going on...

This team, in particular, HAS to have good guard play. If that continues to crater, we are truly screwed, and any talk (myself included) about the 5 spot and our bigs being a concern will become an afterthought.

I know HCBS wants to "run the O through Perry", but IMHO its not working. He is not, has not been, and never will be Embiid, Withey or Aldrich. He is barely 6'8" and has small hands. He is not a 5. HCBS keeps asking him to be that and its just not happening especially against "real" 5s. 3 for 10 isn't what I would call doing something. Maybe instead of trying to divide up the minutes between 5 guys for one spot we could eat into Perry's minutes a bit and see how a tandem of Mickelson/Bragg or Traylor/Diallo do. I like Perry as a 3/4 not as the guy in the middle.
Have to agree with everyone....something is up with Frank. 0 assists? 2 T/Os and 4 for 12 from the field? I smell something and its not a Flannagan from the Wheel. Better get this fixed or the fellas might have to get used to the court storming.
OK what is up with HCBS and Stillwater? 5 of the last 7? Really? Marcus Smart was a very good college player I will give you, but this team? You can't convince me there is not something mental going on with HCBS and playing down there.
In 11 minutes Bragg was 4/4 from the field and 4 boards. Perry played 33 minutes and had 3. Yeah sure he had 4 fouls. Big deal. In the words of Oliver Twist....MORE PLEASE!!!
It appears to me that Graham was the only player who was 1. Given minutes and 2. Actually showed up in Stillwater. Now I will agree that 1 has to happen in order for 2 to follow....also read why is Mickelson even on the team if he gets the same amount of PT as Tyler and Evan?....but it looks like Graham played pretty well. 5 AST only 1 TO and 10 points. Not bad.
Not a big confidence booster for the guys with a possibly tricky game on Saturday. Hopefully the home cooking continues.
