Worst UK finish in 90 years (per ESPN)
1976 - last time both Puke and kensucky missed the NCAAT (per ESPN)
Will kensucky be invited to the post season NIT?
Only 16 teams for it this year, all at large.
Have to think they don't get an invite?
But as long as they don't have COVID19 issues, they still have the UK name to attract eyes to TVs.

I virtually never watch ESPN sports center. I would guess it has been years since I watched it other than halftime or a few minutes before a game starts. I have had it on today waiting for the KU game. My gosh, it has been a eulogy for Duke. You'd think the world has come to an end. I have heard the phrase "sad day" at least 50 times regarding Dukes season coming to an end. I mean we KU fans know better than anyone the sadness of a season ending due to Covid. But lets recap. 2020 KU was 28-3 and playing their best basketball, a unanimous No. 1 and a strong favorite to win a National Championship. 2021, Duke, 13-11, ranked 60th in the computer composite and a very slim probability to make the tournament and if they did it would be at least an 11 seed and very possibly a play-in 12 seed. I mean I feel for the Blue Devils but good grief! Comparing the "sadness" of Duke this season to Kansas last season is like comparing a matchbox toy car to a Daytona winning Nascar. But oh well, such is life.

My opinion — K chose to end the season now so he can say Duke missed the NCAAT because of COVID19 instead of the lousy season they had.

Totally agree with HE- losses hurting his all time winning % and with loss in first round ACC and NIT he would suffer the indignity of personally coaching a .500 team!
