What’s the deal with him cradling the ball before shooting on his drives to the hoop? Last night it seemed to me that every drive by him that I saw he ended up holding the ball like a football running back and then he could not get the shot off.

Good D by UTEP knocking the ball and forcing him to secure it?

Didn’t seem like it to me, but I am the first to admit I not as good at tracking the play like some of you can. But this is also not the first game I’ve noticed JW do it.

Are his handles just that poor?
Bad habit?

Hmm...

Cradling the ball seems pretty common. It is how you try to protect it from being poked out.

Wilson is the only player I’ve noticed doing it almost all the time. Doesn’t seem like a good practice if you can’t get the shot off... and it seems he can’t.
