Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
With Baylor cancelling now 6 games, the Big 12 is faced with an interesting dilemma. Assuming no further games are canceled (a very Big if given the track record) here are the number of games that will be yet to play for all Big 12 teams after the conclusion of the regularly scheduled season (Feb 27th)
Kansas - 0
Kansas St. - 1 (Iowa St.)
Oklahoma - 1 (Baylor)
Oklahoma St. - 1 (West Virginia)
Iowa St. - 2 (K-State and Texas Tech)
Texas - 2 (Baylor & TCU)
Texas Tech - 2 (IOwa St. & Baylor)
TCU - 3
West Virginia - 4
Baylor - 6
To further muddy the waters, Baylor's postponed games are Oklahoma (A), West Virginia (twice, H & A), Texas Tech (H), Texas (H), and TCU (H). The season ends Saturday, February 27th. The Big 12 Tournament begins March 10th. Clearly as many games as possible can be rescheduled in the 11 days between the end of regular conference season and the Big 12 Tourney. But it does not seem possible that Baylor could make up more than 4 games in that period. And they would have to be actual home and away games, not some Neutral place like KC. I suppose they could get all games played but 2 Baylor games. But which 2 Baylor games do you cancel? If all that are left are two Baylor games and Baylor is 3 or more games ahead, I suppose it is legitimate to crown them Champs. But what if they are 2 games ahead with 2 games unplayed? Do you still crown them champs because they would be co-champs at least? But what about the team that has the chance to tie them? Or is there some way to schedule all 6 Baylor games> I don't see how. Given Baylor's current lead, this all may be moot. They may be so far ahead it does not matter.

KU has done a great job, so far, keeping its BB players and staff Covid-19 free. If the above record continues, we may end up with the most wins in the Big 12 but not the best record.

I kind of feel like this whole season has been more of an exhibition season than a legitimate one due to cancellations. This is just another example.
If Baylor (or other teams) can't play a full slate due to covid, AND if the outcome of those games would have the potential to impact the standings significantly, then I would propose that they don't crown a regular season champ. Then they can use the games that were actually played and those outcomes to determine seeding for the conference tournament and make that the only trophy available for the year. They might need to tweak the seeding a little by looking at who actually played who and who got a bye against stronger teams, but that would seem easy enough.
If the Big 12 honchos call me and ask my opinion, that's what I'd suggest. It simply hasn't been a level playing field since each team has a different set of opportunities and challenges.

Now only one win behind Baylor in the win column. Ha Ha. The only Big 12 team to have played 13 games and one of only three teams to have played the most games overall. KSU one of the others. Praise to the coaches and players for keeping themselves safe.
My wife and I just got vaccinated about a week ago and get our second shots in the next few weeks. Please, please, do get vaccinated when eligible. Neither of us had any side effects at all.
