It was nice to win, but the effort the guys put forth - including Self - was fun to watch.
Mac was a monster and his energy level was off the charts.
Braun is a dirty dog who scraps for everything.
Wilson is in a shooting funk like I’ve never seen, but double digit rebounds shows he’s playing hard
Much better team defense all around, noticeably irritating Cunningham all night.
Self looking like himself again, coaching with emotion and lighting into the guys when they needed it. He so often looks like he’s parked it in this year, but not last night.
I only wish Ochai would use his NBA level body to dominate more. Needs to work on ball handling so he can get into the lane and use strength to overwhelm his defender. That will open up his outside shooting even more.

It was nice to see the Hawks get a win against a ranked opponent even while shooting below normal from 3pt range. That is what I had seen with this team so far had been they only had a chance when they shot well from 3pt range. It was nice to see the boys start with really good defense. In OSUs first 5 possessions they missed 1 3pt try and had 4 turnovers. Unfortunately our offense was unable to make shots even though we were getting shots and some of them were close in. Hopefully they can find a way to make shots early.

Amazing to think that HCBS knows what he is doing. Despite a wretched offensive in the 1H, Hawks played D and focused on major Ok St ply bad..lid came off in 2H.

I think trying to keep Marcus on Cunningham and everyone hedge a bit towards him was important but the biggest thing IMHO was not giving up all the easy transition baskets they did in the first game.
