This season marks the 25th for the Big 12 (my how time flies). KU has so completely dominated the Big 12 that it is almost ridiculous. There have been 384 conference games played for the teams that have been in the Big 12 since the get-go. KU has won 314 or 81.8%. Texas is 2nd over 80 games back at 233 or 60.7%. Of the 24 regular season championships, KU has claimed an insane 18 of them or 75%. Texas again is 2nd with 3. Amazingly, 7 of the current 10 teams have claimed at least 1 conference championship. Only West Virginia, Baylor and TCU have not won a conference regular season title. Let's keep that streak in tact this season. Of the 23 Big 12 Tournaments, KU has won 11 or almost half. Iowa St. is 2nd with 5. Only 4 of the current Big 12 teams have won a Big 12 tourney, Kansas, Iowa St. Okie St and Oklahoma. When it comes to Big 12 POY, KU has 10 to lead all teams. Iowa St. Oklahoma and Oklahoma St. each have won 3 while Texas has won 2, Kansas St., Nebraska and Texas Tech have 1 each. KU has the only 2-time winner in Raef LaFrentz. 6 of KU's 10 winners were seniors and 4 were juniors. Interestingly, KU has never had a freshman or sophomore win Big 12 POY.
