A number of years ago, I came across a letter written by Phog Allen when he was the University Chair of Community Chest, the predecessor to United Way. The date, October 24, 1940, during World War II.

"Home and neighbor are the warp and woof of American virility and democratic hospitality. We recognize the needs of our neighbors and we unfailingly respond to those needs founded upon helpful service."

Stay well my friends, stay well, and let's follow Dr. Allen's words in each of our respective communities. Support your family, your neighbors and your community.

“We’re all in this together.”

So true.

Interesting comment from Devon.

Sophomore point guard Devon Dotson led things off from his front porch in Charlotte, N.C., noting that he “can’t wait to see you all soon and get back on the court.”

Hmmm...
