I’d gave to go with Anthony Grant of Dayton. Flyers exceeding *all* preseason expectations this year, he’d be very worthy.
Of course, if Bill had made the list he would be my choice, but hey, you know how it is — haters gonna hate.
If being part of the FBI investigation is part of it, have to wonder why Bruce Pearl (Auburn) and Greg McDermott (Creighton) are on the list.
And what great things has Cal done this year? Seriously.
10 semi-finalists for NCAAMB COY announced.

Yeah that's bogus. My first thought was they were picking a coach from different conferences but as you pointed out Auburn and Kenyucky are on there. So whatever, Self is the best and yeah, haters will hate.

Absolutely without doubt, the FBI/NCAA charade is the elephant in the arena. Self could be undefeated with a scoring margin of 40 points per game and he would not be allowed to even have his name mentioned for A COY with the Spector of the NCAA investigation hanging. Self took a mediocre 2019 team, lost Grimes and multiple transfers, throws together a team overApril and May, coaches up players to far exceed their previous ability, creates a team that shows steady and demonstrable growth, results in the predominate No. 1 team in the country yet does not even make the cut for COY. Yeah, right. For my money, this is Self’s best yer of coaching.
