This is sort of like the glue guy. A player that was not necessarily indispensable but was critically important to the team and contributed way more than most casual fans would understand. Not stars, or in other words at best the third option on the team but more likely the 4th or 5th.

A name I would have on the list is Christian Moody. He was a walk-on who played his way into the starting rotation in his junior and senior years. I remember him as a great team player. Rock Chalk!!
