Still wish the Hawks would have had a better showing, not a W necessarily, but they looked absolutely horrible tonight. KU's strength our guards were embarrassed by their counterparts, and WVA got to the line 40+ and killed KU on the glass. HCBS needs to chew their but for the woefully pathetic effort on the court.. Watching all those WVa players celebrate and their darn fans is just sickening--

Credit to WVU players. They played their butts off all night and we didn't match them in any phase of the game.

But . . . . it's like playing Air Force's option in football or playing the Steve Nash led Suns in the "7 seconds or less" era. Do you change everything you do to combat the crazy strategy to win the one game, or adjust as best you can and hope your superior athletes make up the difference. Knowing in less than two hours you will be on to playing traditional teams again.

Our athletes didn't make up the difference tonight, and we gave in to their entire game plan. But we move on to the next game. We can't focus on this loss and dwell on the fact we mentally checked out half way thru the first half. Forget it. NEXT!

That was my dating strategy in the '70s!!!
