Dok's defense is more than just blocking shots. His movement on the pick and roll is phenomenal. He shuffles backwards keeping the ball in front of him and not allowing the pass. Space, but not too much. Really fantastic footwork and positioning.
At the beginning of last year Dotson was getting stuffed at the rim. I said then that he was carrying the ball on his hip and couldn't get the ball out quick enough. I watched and rewatched the game and he never put the ball on his hip. Really gets the ball out quickly. Amazing finishes
OA is an enigma. When they pulled his redshirt off last year he displayed some amazing athleticism, shooting, and decision making. This year he seems lost. A real puzzler.
Braun and Moss contributed when we need them to and may well be the key going in the tournament.
Doks screens are darn near moving half the time. I hope he calms down a bit going in the tournament.
Unlike the WV game. This was a tough, physical, hard fought, defensive game that was not ugly. It was just hard fought. Far les bumping, mugging, grabbing, shoving, slapping, and clawing then the WVU game. This was a good basketball game and not a brawl on a basketball court.
I hope that we stay focused as we still have some tough games to play, but that was an exciting game. To quote Bill Self as he was walking to shake hands, "What a game"
