simply cannot shoot. Three's, jump shots, free throws, doesn't matter. Another brutal scoring half. Some guys hardly shoot at all unless it's a drive (Garrett). Others clearly have so little confidence in their shot now they don't even have near misses anymore (Dotson). And Agbaji's form usually looks pretty good but the ball hardly ever goes in. Moss is fortunate to hit one of three. It's kind of stunning, actually. They appear to be getting worse instead of better.

This is a bad team to not be able to shoot against. The foul on every play to change the expectations of the ref works well when you are the home team. The WVU team uses this to their advantage which makes it tough to go inside against them.

An ugly win, but a win nonetheless. Great defense and they responded in crunch time. Be happy folks!

With just over 7 minutes to go this team defensively "turned it up to 11", and that was the story of the game.

For all their gaffes earlier in the game, Marcus Garrett and Udoka Azubuike starred in leading a sterling defensive cast -- including a stalwart defender named Isaiah Moss who also did what he was actually brought to KU to do -- to victory in the closing minutes in Morgantown.

I've just got to get it through my head that this team is rarely, if ever, going to have a pretty win. But their road record is spotless in conference so far, and that's a real tribute to their grit and defense. And credit where it's due. Moss came up big when he was really needed. Kudos.
