Where does Mady Sissoko fit in Self's program: This is a kid that would absolutely excel in Self's system at Kansas. At 6-foot-8 and 225-pounds, he's a bruiser in the paint and on the glass, can block shots and does a great job of running the floor and getting out on the open court.

I just love the way he plays and the passion he displays on the hardwood. In watching some game film, there were times when he was completely out of the play on the defensive end of the court, but appeared from nowhere to swat a shot or grab a rebound.

The passion, intensity, and enthusiasm are visible from the moment you see Sissoko take the court. He's a difference maker for sure, especially on both ends of the court.

When will Sissoko decide? ... My feel is, and this is just my opinion, but I just don't see him dragging out his recruitment into the spring. If he's able to knockout all remaining visits before the early signing period, my guess is he will sign early. [emphasis added - HE}

KANSAS has offered him, and he is drawing a lot of attention from his play with the NBA Global Academy, but I've not read anything more on his interest in KU or KU's continued interest in him.
Rivals currently has him as a 3*.
247Sports is projecting him as a 4*/top 100 player.

Given Self's success in bringing in solid foreign players, I've looked around to see what news is out there on him. He has visited Temple and will visit Tennessee (and Rick Barnes knows his PGs), but I have not seen anything about visiting KU yet. Regardless, I must confess he intrigues me.

And with the submission of the LOI for the Kansas kid (Wichita and Bel Aire) originally from Haiti the extant 2020 class members are all signed.

Now the question is how many more scholarships will there be available for 2020?

The certain three -- Dok, Moss and McBride's currently empty ride -- are filled.

Add in one more for Dotson as likely NBA Draft early entry

If Silvio plays as we have hoped he will based on his freshman year, he could be gone EE as well.

That would be two more available scholarships.

And there is always the question of the progress of Big Dave.

But for now we celebrate the signing of the first 3 commits for the KUMBB 2020 recruiting class!

Latrell is expected to sign his LOI on Friday November 15.

The origin post has been updated to reflect a bunch of stuff.

First, it looks -- so far, at least -- as if we have been expecting too much of Silvio after that great finish in 2018, even with the advantage of a whole year of training and practice coming into this year. As recently as 15 November I was thinking he could be an NBA Draft Early Entry candidate, but I have scaled that back now and, barring further evidence to the contrary (which we would all thoroughly enjoy!), I am expecting him back next year.

With that change, Mitch red-shirting this season, Issac McBride's departure back in September, Dok and Moss finishing their college careers this season and Devon looking likely to leave early, there would be only 4 scholarships available for next year's crop of fledglings unless some unanticipated losses occur. Self & Company already have 4 signees making up a Rivals Top Ten recruiting class as of today. Link: Rivals Top 2020 MCBasketball Recruiting Classes
KU SIGNEES FOR NEXT SEASONEven with 4 signees, it is unlikely the Self & Co won't have at least a few irons in the fire just in case someone else leaves. Barring that, the above is what the new class will look like for next fall.

The OFFERED table in the OP shows the 8 remaining uncommitted guys (4 5*, 4 4*) that KU has made offers to this season according to Rivals. I've culled all the fellows who have opted to go somewhere else, or for whatever reason have removed KU from their respective lists.

Updated the rankings for the release of the latest Rivals 2020 Top 150 rankings.

No real change to KU recruits or to offers still out there, pending the availability of another scholarship becoming available.

You Will Recall: KU has a projected 4 openings with Dok, Moss and Devon (EE) leaving, plus the 1 open ride from Issac McBride transferring before the season started. Those scholarships are filled with the four signees below.
