Williams is from Sherman Oaks, CA.
6-8, 180 SF currently Rivals ranked #8
EXCERPT
EB: "What about Kansas? What do you know about them?"
ZW: "Kansas and Vanderbilt are two new schools since the live period. I didn't even say anything about them before, but they've offered. So we have those two. Arizona has been on me hard. Really hard. They've caught up to North Carolina and Stanford."
More on KANSAS
ZW: "They are a blue blood and you can never go wrong with them. I haven't talked to Coach (Bill) Self yet but Coach (Kurtis) Townsend calls me and texts me sometimes to ask me how I am and about my game so that's really cool."
Stanford coach Jerod Haase sending him a hand written letter every day, and his family is big on academics.
EXCERPT
EB: "Are you talking hand written letters? Every day? How does he find something different to say?"
ZW: "Hand written. Hand written. I get a new letter every day. I have whole shoe boxes full of letters from Coach Haase. It's awesome. It's crazy. He's real serious about it. He told me he is going to send me a letter every day and I was like OK. Some are quotes. Some are jokes. Some are just stuff he loves about me and that kind of stuff."
END EXCERPTS
Early days... and we all know how Ol' Roy loves his California boys...

SG! 18/***** Bryce Thompson 6-4/180 Tulsa, OK/Booker T. Washington
Son of former Tulsa player Rod Thompson, whose head coaches at Tulsa were current UNC (and former KU) assistant Steve Robinson (1995-1997) and then Bill Self for Rod's last season year (1997-98).
The Thompsons just finished visiting with Ol' Roy. According to the article Bryce has officially visited Arkansas, Colorado, Texas A&M, and Michigan State. Trying to get clarification if the UNC visit was official as well. If it was, then Bryce has used all his official visits (unless I missed the NCAA upping the limit from 5 to 6 per student-athlete).
According to the article they were supposed to visit KU this week, but had to delay as something came up. According to father Rod they will be here next week, just getting everything arranged.
EXCERPT
Not long ago, Thompson was ranked as the 58th best prospect in the 2020 class, but after an impressive showing this spring, Thompson is now listed as the 18th best prospect in the class...
In a short period of time, Thompson has emerged as one of the most highly coveted prospects in the 2020 class. He has the ability to score from all three levels and his ball handling skills and athleticism have greatly improved in the past year.
On the surface, it's safe to say that Kansas, having extended a scholarship offer to Thompson long ago, is a major player for the elite guard from Booker T. Washington High School.

This is interesting. Kid is entering his sophomore year in HS and wants to be done with recruiting. KU likes him, had an offer out and as of today he has accepted. Always wanted to be a Jayhawk, which is admirable. Appears to be highly touted. I still have visions of Royce Woolridge not panning out when I read about this, but the two people are nothing alike, and he is projected to be a 5* in everybody's system once.
TRE WHITE
SHOOTING GUARD
6'5'' | 175 LBS
(6’6” | 199 updated 2019-06-26 per Andrew Slater reporting on Elite 100)
CLASS OF 2022
MILWAUKEE, WI
WASHINGTON HS
Corey Evans of Rivals.com wrote this about White : Tre White did not wait long to end his college recruitment. Just as things were beginning to pick up for the talented rising sophomore, White decided that there was no need to put off the inevitable as he called Bill Self on Sunday and committed to Kansas.
“I mean, it has always been a dream school of mine, my dad has always loved the school, and my guy, Jalen Wilson, that is my guy, he has been telling me great things about it, there” White said about his quick college decision. “I just wanted to get it out of the way so that I could focus on the next few years.”
White feels great about what all Kansas can offer. “It is really just that system,” he said. “They really want to play fast and everyone that goes there has had a great bond with the coach even after they leave there. I just loved it.”
A member of the 2022 class, White is a talented guard that can play all three positions on the perimeter. Originally from Texas and attending the same high school as R.J. Hampton to begin his high school career, White moved to Milwaukee this winter as he is competing with the Mac Irvin Fire travel program this summer.

So, does KU getting his last visit, and on his own dime, mean anything? Does the family really like the idea of him not being so far away, and of playing for HCBS?
Sure hope so!
KUSports.com: 2020 PG Bryce Thompson will visit this week

Springfield News-Leader: Missouri State signee Dajuan Harris will reclassify, won't play for Bears in 2019-20
Harris (Columbia, MO/Rockbridge HS) had been a 2019 recruit signing with Missouri State, but with his stock blowing up he reclassified to 2020 to look at bigger programs, and may look at prep school at Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, KS near Wichita -- which is also the current home to KU recruit 2020 top 10 center N'Faly Dante (who still has talk of reclassifying to 2019 circling in the ether). There is also some talk around Harris that he may reclassify back to 2019 to take KU's last remaining scholarship, even if i means redshirting for next year. Hmmm...

For now I have him listed there, but I will move him to 2020 if he cannot work out getting back to his original 2019 recruiting class status. Hopefully he will have everything done in time for the Fall 2019 semester, but I figure he will probably redshirt anyway, so it won't be a huge thing for the program if he doesn't finish until December.

Rivals JayhawkSlant: Top 30 guard Adam Miller ready to cut list, has visits in mind (pay site)
by Corey Evans 2019-07-27
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – One of the top scorers in the 2020 class, Adam Miller is in no rush to make a college decision. He has, however, taken a closer look at the schools recruiting him and is hoping to take a handful of official visits in the coming months.
“I narrowed it down to 10, but I am probably going to narrow it down to five or six next month, or the middle of next month,” Miller said about his current list of schools. “I just need to see who really wants me and where I can have a home at. That is all that I really want.”
A group of 10 consisting of Arizona, Arizona State, Chicago State, Illinois, Kansas, Louisville, Missouri, NC State, Northwestern and Wake Forest make up his school list, though four [erarata: it's five - HE] programs have already impressed him enough that he is likely to spend one of his five official visits on them. “I am going to visit ASU, I am trying to get down to KANSAS and Arizona, and I just visited Louisville, and I am going to get out to Illinois,” Miller told Rivals.com. “All of those will be official visits, or at least I will try to have them be.”
IN HIS OWN WORDS
Arizona: “Coach (Sean) Miller, he is good with his players and makes sure that they are straight and I really like that.”
Arizona State: “Coach (Bobby) Hurley and coach (Rashon) Burno, they have just been telling me to come there and let me be me. I feel like I could go out there, being a Chicago boy, and rock.”
Illinois: “The hometown program. Coach Chin (Coleman) and Coach (Brad) Underwood, they are on my butt, one-hundred percent.”
Kansas: “Coach (Bill) Self, the history there, they are a blueblood. You can never go wrong with Kansas. Jerrance Howard is the lead recruiter and he is from my city, been recruiting me since I was little. I really feel like if I was to go there, he would be a big piece of what I would be doing.”
Louisville: “The visit there was fun. They have a great group of guys. Donovan Mitchell was down there, I talked to them about the program. Coach (Luke) Murray, he is big with me. He has been on my tail and he keeps it one-hundred with me.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Miller has a good feel for what he is looking for in his college landing spot.
“I really just want a school that is going to let me be me,” he said. “I just want to go to a school where my teammates are bought into the program and a coach that is bought into his players and wants to develop them to make it to the next level.”
A 6-foot-3 combo guard who is sitting as a top 30 prospect in the 2020 class, creating offense is not an issue for Miller. The lefty wields a consistent jumper to 22-feet but is a more-than-capable finisher in traffic who can defend more than just his position on the perimeter.
Look for a final school list to be produced in the coming weeks, with an official visit schedule to be released shortly thereafter. Illinois has gained most of the talk in recent months, but Kansas, Louisville and many others remain strong suitors for one of Chicago’s best.

Ziaire Williams, Zach Harvey, Jonathan Jackson either committed elsewhere or KANSAS did not make their cuts, so they have been moved to FORMER RECRUITS.
