“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

NOT impressed with this ConTucky team. Looking forward to some serious PAYBACK in AFH on January 30th.
Nice to see the Squidettes FINALLY get a little competition in the SEC...

I was awhoopin and ahollerin for LSU, too. Kentucky and Calimari get too much attention, most of which is undeserved.

I very badly want to crush them when they come to town.

Had a Kentucky fan and friend that was going to go to the game with me. He backed out this morning
Doesn't want to see them get pasted.

I visited the CatPaws board last night (which I do on "special" occasions, like the NIC debacle, just to lurk and smirk at the comments). There were multiple comments about the forthcoming KU game, and the overwhelming consensus was "We've owned KU of late, so they will be out for blood. We are going to get obliterated at Allen."
Please, dear hoops gods in the sky, let it be thus! 150-95 (or maybe just 110-55) would be fine with me!

Can't say I'm disappointed. Hope the lads can shave a few off the all time wins differential this season.
A good old 40 minute curb stomping is in order when Cal and co. come to the Fieldhouse.
Pay heed...

It has been interesting to lurk on some UK boards to see what they are saying. I thought maybe I was the only one with that sickness. Some of their comments about Perry and his age are kind of funny.
My favorite among them was "If they want to they can beat us as bad as we did them last season, I'm pretty sure they haven't forgotten. Perry Ellis is old enough that he may not remember it."
Seriously though, I imagine that "old man" is going to give some free lessons to the UK kiddies...

"Sickness" is a good way to describe it, LOL.
It just seemed like the natural thing to do, coming on the heels of the "bookend" Monday-Tuesday night action in which we pulled out an epic win over the #2 team in the land and they bit the dust in an 18-point loss at LSU. I figured I might just stumble on a few posters who would be thinking ahead (like me) to what could transpire in a few weeks at Allen when the Squidettes come in for a rare game there. Sure enough, I hit the jackpot, and pretty much to a man/woman/child they acknowledged that a potentially embarrassing beat-down is coming down the pike.
ConTucky had no problem whatsoever rubbing our nose in it during big blowouts in those preseason "games" (which never really lived up to that term) in recent years. And that was on a neutral court. A few weeks ago, some seats in the Barn were being priced at a couple thousand bucks, so suffice it to say it's the game of the year for our fan base--the one where anyone with a ticket is not going to let that sucker go. The place is going to be rocking like no tomorrow, and the players are going to feed on that. I hope, pray, and trust that it is going to be the 40-minute curb-stomping you mentioned. Anything less will be highly disappointing in KonzaLand.

Funny how those tickets are over $1000 now and I think I remember them being a hot commodity months ago. Compare that to the OU game, which probably wasn't all that inflated until it became a #1 vs. #1 showdown.
Of course I don't want the UK game to be anything like the OU game (except maybe jumping out to a double digit lead in the first 10 minutes).
