“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
Meaning a different new one from the new one unveiled on Saturday?
Thanks for posting that on here, btw...it was AWESOME! Not only for me but for my 11-year-old son. He watched it tonight before heading off to his travel hoops practice, and was PUMPED UP!
So you can definitely say it's cross-generational in its resonance and appeal!

Yes. Gurley said it's a special one for this game. My guess is a lot of clips of 83-79. And it has a guest narrator, a former great, I think he said.

..the other day, and that I really love:
* It prominently features T-Rob swatting Pressey's layup all the way to Russell, KS (one of the truly iconic moments in modern KU hoops)
and
* It shows Self in his most emotionally intensive moment, punching the air after a huge, emotionally intensive win (taken from that same day, right after our glorious win over the Slavers from Columbia)
You can't tell me that both weren't very conscious choices by KU's video guys, no doubt approved by Coach himself.

I switch them frequently. But on game days, my avatar will be my prediction for who is gonna be a star for us.
For Baylor I predicted Wayne, I think. For OU, I predicted Frank.
