"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
... not updated as I post this. Expectations are it will be 1. KU, 2. OU, setting up the Battle of the Ones tonight.
Looking forward to it (duh!)

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.

The Bears just stay in the CP at #25, giving the conference 5 programs in the CP and 4 in the AP Poll (KU, OU, ISU, WVU and BU in the CP).
Looking at how the AP votes were split, I am inclined to think that another reason the writers are choosing KU at this time of the year is because they've kept missing on KU during the regular season these past few years. So, until KU proves the writers wrong again (which we *don't* want them to do at this point), the writers are going to pick KU over any other Big 12 team.
