Below is the game graph for the Tennessee game. It seems we have made a habit of starting out okay then falling behind then coming back. So I graphed the average scoring margin by minute of game time. It shows exactly that. Even though we are 5-0 we have trailed by an average of 3.8 points at the halfway point of the 1st half. Then we respond only to go down again late in the half before coming back before halftime. The 2nd half is all KU.

It seems to me that we figure out how to get the ball to Dok in the second half. Not just get him the ball but get him the ball within a couple feet of the basket. When we do that multiple possessions in a row it sets a tone for this team. Maybe it id Dok getting better position or the ball getting to him at the right time and place. Either way that is when we make our runs.... That is purely subjective and maybe it just seems that way to me.

Perhaps the graph shows our depth. Self substitutes liberally in the first half and then we have the best guys fresh for the second half.

Agree that this shows depth. Every team is like a puzzle that needs to be figured out. Our depth gives us more options than most to figure out a solution. Many teams have a "Plan A" and a "Plan B". Our depth gives us plans C, D, E and F. When something goes wrong (Dok picks up too many fouls) or something unexpected happens (Garrett gets a concussion) our depth gives us more options to solve the problem.
