With an .826 non-conference clip, the Big 12 boasts the highest overall winning percentage in the country and the best by any conference since 2003-04.

The Big 12 boasts the nation’s best non-conference winning percentage (.826) and has just 19 losses this season, the fewest of any conference.
The current Big 12 non-conference win percentage is the best by any conference since 2003-04 (ACC, .828) and is also currently tied for the 12th-best in NCAA history.
The Big 12 as a whole has an active 12-game winning streak and has won 25 of its last 28 contests overall. The league has five teams with one loss or less - the most of any conference in the nation.

The Big 12 is No. 1 in the latest RPI with seven teams in the top 51 and eight in the top 100. The Big 12 has been the No. 1 conference in RPI three of the last six years, including each of the previous two.
Every team in the Big 12 is averaging 72.5 points or more - the only conference in the nation that can claim that feat. As a whole, the Big 12 is tallying 79.84 points per game - the most of any league.

It just has not translated to NCAA tourney success. In the end, that is what recruits want to see and what the networks want to show. Teams that are strong in the out of conference schedule, conference schedule, and in the tourney. As a rule we have met the first two, but fallen woefully short in the last category. As such, the Big XII will not get much respect
