Had a safe trip here - weather is good, but the arena was bordering on being an iceberg. Got my jacket from the car between sessions.
Were a fair number of Baylor fans here, but a lot more SMU fans - partly because their point guard is from nearby Owasso OK. Tough loss for SMU. Semi Ojeleye (Ottawa KS) is very good. Could do fairly much whatever he wanted to - tough loss.
A lot of KU fans here too. As everyone who watched knows, a slow start, but when KU got going, it was lights out. Am hoping for a fast start tomorrow and a major beat down. Am glad the KU game is first tomorrow. Calling for 85F here tomorrow. RCJHKU.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
Are you seeing many Sparty fans?
Hope we vastly outnumber them!

There were a few MSU fans at the first game but since we didn't stay for the second game, as we were driving back to Lawrence, they may have turned up late. The few interactions I had with the MSU fans were very cordial. My gut tells me that KU fans will grossly outnumber MSU fans tomorrow. Dare and I are driving down to the game tomorrow. Venue is OK. Food was NOT good. We were up in nose bleed country but not as bad a seat as I expected.
The BOK center was relatively easy to get to and from. The drive there was heavy with game and just Friday afternoon traffic. Traffic going home from 8-midnight was sparse but lots of police all of them active ticketing drivers. I played it safe as I had misplaced my driver's license.
I took my sixteen year old KU BB crazy niece from SMNW to the game. She is a big Svi fan so it was fun to see her light up every time SVI hit a shot.
